| Sinemoretz is situated 5 km south from Ahtopol by the scenic estuary of the Veleka river flowing into the Black Sea. The beach southwast of the village is believed to be the best and finest in Bulgaria with the inimitable harmony of sea coast and woodland. The population of Sinemoretz numbers about 140 but increases several times during the summer with the influx of tourists. A dozen of private hotels have been built up lately but the overal condition of the facilities, roads and infrastructure is lagging behind. Regardless of that Sinemoretz is becoming increasingly popular as a summer home for lots of Bulgarian artists, actors and even sportsmen such as the famous football player Christo Stoichkov. |
